"BHH" refers to Buddha Hand Holistics, the trade name that Nathan uses for offering Reiki and Holistic Massage services.
"Data" refers to any personal or other information about a client.
"Client" refers to anyone who is interested in BHH services, has contacted BHH, has received a session from BHH.

Any data given to BHH will be stored and processed in accordance with up-to-date GDPR, and data protection principles will be followed. BHH processes client's data because of legitimate interest.

Held data will be used as appropriate.
Data BHH may hold:
Name
Used to distinguish between different clients and contact people appropriately.
Email address
Emails will be used to contact clients about appointments. Discounts, events, and information (when signed up to the Newsletter or otherwise requested), and general contact when appropriate. BHH will never send spam emails or over-contact.
Phone number
Phone numbers can be used for general contact e.g. arranging appointments, urgent updates on appointments e.g. calling/WhatsApp/texting when appointments need to be cancelled/changed, or anything else BHH deems necessary.
Address
If address information is stored by BHH, it is not normally used. Examples of when address data may be used: cases of fraud occur, or if the appointment is held at the client's address.
Information regarding health e.g. injuries, disabilities, mental health
Health data is used for the safety and well-being of clients e.g. determining whether clients are safe to partake in appointments, whether they have the correct accessibility, and supporting clients in appointments with their mind and body.
Bank/payment information
Clients' payment method information may be accessible to BHH e.g. on statements, but this information will never be shared by BHH with third parties. The only parties that will hold/share this information are the payment companies themselves e.g. Banks, PayPal, other payment services, or messaging/email services when information has been communicated to BHH digitally. BHH is not liable for anything third parties do with that information, or any losses to clients.
Data such as bank/PayPal/other payment information is not normally processed by BHH, as payment is taken through banks/websites/services/card machines etc, using third parties, or invoices where BHH is paid directly through these services, and therefore BHH does not receive the details. If such data as bank/PayPal/other payment methods is held by BHH, this data is processed in the same way as others, in accordance with the data protection act.
When PayPal or banks are used, their privacy policies and other agreements are then in use, and customers agree to their policies separately from BHH's policy, and it is up to clients to find and agree to that information.

Other
Client data will not be shared with third parties unless permitted to do so, or deemed necessary e.g. in emergencies, or for email services, phone services, bank/PayPal/other payment methods (for paying/being paid by clients). Data will never be sold to third parties or shared privately with parties that are not necessary.

Data will normally be held for at least 7 years and can be held longer.

Clients have the right to request information about what data BHH holds about them.
Clients have the right to request the deletion of their data, BHH then decides whether this is permitted.

BHH has the right to update this notice at any point.

By booking and attending any appointments with BHH you agree to this Privacy Policy.
